      Kite-making workshop with Artist in Residence Kirsten Furlong

      The Great Plains Art Museum will host Boise-based artist Kirsten Furlong as the 2020 Elizabeth Rubendall Artist in Residence. As part of her time at the museum, Furlong will lead a kite-making workshop on Saturday, March 21, from 1–4 p.m., where visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to interact with the artist, learn about Great Plains birds, and create and assemble their own kite. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. Parking is usually available in the Que Place Garage at 11th and Q streets. Please note there is construction in the area.
